With the end of summer coming up fast you might think a solar cooker, or solar oven, is useless, but that’s not true. Even in winter you can use one. My son used to go to an eco-charter in New Mexico, and they used a solar oven each week during the school year to cook tortillas. Granted, New Mexico may be sunnier than some places but you can still build one then give it a whirl when the sun rears it’s face.
